Responsibilities/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the requirements of state and federal mandates which directly affect school counselor or social work services and special education.
- Provide direct services to individual students for emotional and behavioral support.
- Participate in problem-solving teams or assist individual teachers to consider student-specific data, brainstorm possible strategies and interventions, and develop a plan of action to address a student-specific need.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
- Knowledge about best practices for engaging students and families with emotional and behavioral concerns.
- Familiarity with tiered systems of school-wide Positive Behavior Support practices.
- Experience with MTSS preferred.
