  • Director of Human Resources

    The following position is available immediately:

    Director of Human Resources

    Responsible for personnel functions including staffing, hiring, counseling, policy administration and record keeping for all certified and non-certified staff.  Plans, coordinates and supervises the operations of the human resource office. Participates in labor relations, benefits administration and special projects as requested.

     

    Qualifications:

    Minimum of 5 years of Human Resource Experience Preferred. Central office or executive level administrative experience is strongly preferred.

    Masters degree, Labor and Industrial Relations, Personnel Administration, or related field (Business with a Human Resource endorsement)

     

    Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

    ·         An ability to establish and maintain good working and supervisory relations with staff and to maintain in strictest confidence personal information regarding employees.

    ·         Monitors personnel policies and record keeping.

    ·         Recruits, interviews, and recommends employment of all staff with focus on employee retention.

    ·         Coordinates employee performance evaluation programs; recommends new or revised employee relations policies and procedures.

    ·         Administers provisions of collective bargaining agreements and/or district procedures dealing with staffing, transfers, discipline, leaves, resignations, retirement, benefits, vacations, absences, and supplemental pay.

    ·         Consults with and advises administrators and supervisors on contract interpretation and implementation, as well as overall work with school district employees.

    ·         Assures that all staff members are properly certified.

    ·         Coordinates and implements all employee onboarding programs and mentoring programs.

    ·         Facilitates district employee wellness programs.

    ·         Maintains and administers COBRA, ADA, ACA, FMLA and workers comp compliance.

    ·         Collaborates with the business office and payroll to streamline the systems of implementation and management.

    ·         Supervision of payroll and benefit administration

    ·         Interfaces and consults with District legal counsel on employment matters and ensures compliance with all federal and state laws.

    ·         Responsible for district benefit administration, including health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance and coordinates annual open enrollments.

    ·         Serves as the district homeless liaison to ensure compliance with the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Act.

    ·         Conducts investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.

    ·         Develops, maintains, monitors, and advises administration on progressive discipline and performance improvement processes. Serves as district representative to hear sexual harassment and Title IX complaints. 

    ·         Represents the Board as the chief negotiator in negotiating all collective bargaining agreements.

    ·         Serves as part of the central office administrative team; advises the superintendent.
