Residents of the Okemos Public School District Enrolling NEW Students into Grades K-12
(NOTE: Families intending to register for Okemos Public Montessori at Central (OPM) need to participate in the enrollment lottery and should not complete OPS registration until they have been accepted. Visit the OPM homepage under important information for more details regarding the lottery and registration.)

Current 2025-26 School Year - Complete the online registration found here
Once you have submitted your Enrollment Application you will be contacted by the school Registrar with instructions on how to submit your documents and forms.
Items you will need to complete your student’s enrollment:
- Copy of birth certificate, up-to-date immunizations, proof of residency, copy of enrolling parent’s driver’s license
- Students entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old before September 1, (or December 1 with a waiver); and have a dental oral assessment within 6 months before the child enrolls in school for the first time.

5th - 8th Grade New Student Advanced Math Placement Options
The Okemos Public Schools offers advanced math testing opportunities to our new middle school students prior to the start of the school year. The purpose of the placement test is to determine if your student is eligible to be placed in an accelerated mathematics course. Placement tests will be administered for eligible 5th-8th grade students on September 5th.
