• Great Summer Reading

Posted by Cyndi Webster on 5/29/2018

It is never too early to think about what you might want to read over the summer break.  Whether you have tons of free time or just need to find something good to read in between all your busy activities check out these titles. All are available, some in eBook or audiobook format, at the Capital Area District library. Don't forget we have eBooks available all summer long. Look at the District Library page to get more details.  Happy reading!

  • New Club - Code it, Make it , Break it Club

Posted by Cyndi Webster on 9/25/2017

We are revising our Coding Club and giving it a new twist. In addition to coding we are going to utilize our Makerspace (with an art activity and a tech project), and Breakout boxes (like escape rooms but with a box we “break” into). In the Code it, Make it, Break it Club we will rotate through the 3 sessions each month. Starting in October we are meeting 2:45-3:45 in the library on regular Wednesdays (not early release days). Each month starts with a Coding day, followed by a Make it day and Break it day. Free to everyone at any time. The yearlong schedule is available in the library.

  • Welcome to the Chippewa Library

Did you check out the district's new website?  The library also has updated our site on the homepage. Check out the library catalog. Maybe you want to read an eBook this year. Go onto the catalog and read one of our great books online.

The Chippewa Library is open 7:35-3:30 Monday-Thursday (non-early release Wednesdays). Closing on Friday at 3:00. We are open all day long to help students be successful whether checking out books, getting help with devices, information literacy or creating in our Makerspace.

Come visit Mrs. Blaxton and myself and see all we have to offer.
