BEFORE AND AFTER CHILD CARE
Please contact Rebecca Stow or Michelle Thompson with registration questions. You can scan and email, fax, mail, or drop off paperwork to register. We require 5 business days between receipt of paperwork and the earliest start date.
Okemos Public Schools (OPS) will be 100% online while we are in Phase 4 of the MI Safe Start Plan. The district will remain in this model through the end of the first quarter, October 30th, regardless of the MI Safe Start Plan phase.
During Phase 4, OKC will be offering full-day care to Begindergarten through 8th-grade children during the scheduled online learning time in Okemos. This program will be held at Edgewood from 7:15 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Students will be grouped into cohorts of 11 students based on grade level and will remain in their assigned group throughout a given day, and for the duration of the program, to ensure safety. Staff and students are required to wear face coverings.
Registration is first come-first served. We will take a waiting list if rooms fill to capacity. Please note, that you are registering for and paying for every day of care between August 26, 2020-October 30, 2020 with this current contract.
OPS is exploring the possibility of providing free student supervision during the remote learning time for qualified applicants. More information to come from the district in the near future.
