    Primarily focused on supporting the infrastructure and specialized technology systems and maintaining district connectivity.  Supported areas include all buildings, classrooms, classroom technology, and district networks.  Assists in establishing and maintaining all access points, network stability, internet access, content filtering, firewall standards, and other systems.  Will work in conjunction with the technology department to provide network, systems, and security support for the operational health and stability of district systems and infrastructure.  Will determine how the future network needs can and will benefit the district and help lead the deployment efforts to maximize return on investment. 

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide hardware/software support for technology and network-related components, systems, and products
    • Support the helpdesk requests and respond in a professional and courteous manner
    • Provide security support on all security areas as needed by district leadership
    • Monitor and maintain security cameras and badges
    • Provide training and technical guidance to other technology department employees
    • Provide scripting support for switches to configure all ports and connectivity of the network
    • Provide programming design and support for the firewall, vLans, and switches throughout the district
    •  Analyze and monitor server security and implement patches and fixes to address potential security holes.

    Qualifications and Skills

    Required Experience or Training

    1. Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, or other child-related fields (elementary education, child guidance/counseling, child psychology, family studies, or social work) from an accredited college or university and,
    2. Minimum 2 credit hours or 3.0 CEUs in child care administration and,
    3. Minimum 2 years experience working with children in a school or daycare setting.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    Under the direct supervision of the Community Education Coordinator, the Early Childhood Supervisor shall be responsible for:

    • Visit classrooms for observations and evaluate classrooms, staff, curriculum for fidelity
    • Support directors in need
      • Oversight of the mentoring process
      • Parental Concerns
    • Staffing all classrooms to state ratio or lower
    • Training and onboarding new staff
    • Serves as a substitute for absent staff or to give breaks as needed
    • Assists the program director in maintaining licensing procedures by working in the classrooms regularly. Maintains safety standards in all classrooms 
    • Leads the enrollment process. Meets with prospective parents, tours, and coordinates openings with lead teachers 
    • Plans and coordinates field trips. Attends as necessary
    • Provide and organize opportunities for professional development 
    • Maintains Great Start to Quality rating
    • Leads staff meetings (leads) and (assistant leads)
    • Sits on the MTSS team and supports MTSS program and classroom goals
    • Attends monthly MTSS, PBIS, and Culture meetings with Preschool Directors and with Infant/Toddler Directors using tracking reports as guidance
    • Attend Data Days and Program Leadership meetings
    • Continuous learning on Creative Curriculum, TSG, Literacy Essentials, and how Edgewood can use it best within their classrooms
    • Overseeing TSG and supporting staff in the use of tracking development, parent conferences, and lesson planning
    • Maintain licensing files for employees
