    • Assist with the enrollment of students in Edgenuity credit recovery and monitor progress
    • Deliver passes and forms to students in classrooms
    • Retrieve forms and signatures from students as needed
    • Assist with registration for PSAT/NMSQT in September and coordination of PSAT/NMSQT testing in October
    • Assist with Advanced Placement registration in fall and testing coordination in April/May
    • Proctor extended time testing
    • Assist with organization of classroom presentation schedules
    • Prepare information for school newsletters
    • Assist the registrar when needed
    • High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in a school office setting preferred.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks, while experiencing frequent interruptions.

    General Duties and Responsibilities

    • Interact with all children in our care using child developmentally appropriate techniques through games, reading, art and physical activities
    • Attend to children’s emotional and physical needs by feeding, dressing and diapering on a regular basis
    • Maintain a safe environment for all children and staff onsite and offsite for occasional field trips
    • Assist in planning and implementing lesson plans through TSG
    • Assist in scoring and entering data into TSG
    • To manage the classroom/staff when the Director is not present
    • Use positive discipline techniques, including rephrasing, substitution, or separation as needed when supervising children in the program

    Lunch Supervisors Needed at Kinawa

    Supervisors are responsible for keeping students safe during the lunch hour both in the cafeteria and outside on the
    playground. Washing tables between lunches is also a part of the responsibilities of this position. Applicants should have a positive attitude, a good work ethic, and a love for
    working with and interacting positively with students in the 5th and 6th grade age group.
    Hours are from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m.

    DUTIES:                                            

    • Cook and serve meals to students in a friendly and pleasant manner.
    • Prepare food, provide service, and perform other kitchen activities, including dishes, clean up, receiving, and stocking.
    • Maintain high sanitary and safety standards in the kitchen and storage areas.
    • Accurate cash handling and accounting for daily sales, including performing cashier duties.
    • Work with Supervisors, Lead Cooks, Co-workers, and Director and Assistant Director of Food and Nutrition Services toward an effective and efficient food service operation.
    • Perform duties at different sites in the district as necessary.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Food and Nutrition Services.

    HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: Positions available range from 5.75 to 2.25 hours each day when school is in session.

    Hours of work range from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. depending on the position.

    Okemos Public Schools is seeking individuals to fill regular and part time school bus driving positions for the 2018-19 school year and beyond.
    Current state certified drivers are desired, although CDL training (paid) is available.
    Salary ranges from $14.79 - $18.62 per hour depending on experience.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    *Enjoy working with children.
    *High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
    *Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and a background investigation.
    *Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, staff, peers and community.
    *Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, maps, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
    *Have sufficient strength, agility, and dexterity to perform all required tasks.
    *Will provide training (if needed) to obtain a valid State of Michigan Class B CDL license with Passenger and School Bus endorsements. The air brake test must also be passed.
    *Ability to plan and carry out preventative maintenance measures.

    RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

    *Operate a school bus in a safe and professional manner, obeying local, state, and federal ordinances/laws.
    *Perform and properly complete daily pre-trip bus inspections.
    *Show proficiency in handling and maneuvering a school bus.
    *Participate in required training/in-services.
    *Enforce district student discipline policies.
